Just wanted to pop by and give y'all the instruction manual, so to speak. This blog is an exploration of all the skills I've learned over the course of the semester in my Digital Storytelling Basics class. Not only have I learned how to operate a professional grade camera, but I've learned three new editing software systems (Audacity, Soundslides, and Final Cut Pro).
This class has had a lot of review material but it's been nice to relive the experience of roaming the streets for a scoop instead of being holed up in an computer lab, typing away. I'm leaving the world of journalism for the dry facts and dusty tomes of history scholars. But I've enjoyed my training as a journalist and I'll not be forgetting it anytime soon.
